Regardless of the "Link to Nitter instead of Twitter" feed setting toggle, Quote Tweets will always display in the Tweet body (embed description) as a Nitter link, not a direct Twitter link,

Note that clicking on the title of the embed (
Hope (@Theghostofhope)in this case) will go to the original tweet on Twitter. I don't know if that's what the setting is actually supposed to do or not.@EthanC commented on GitHub (Jul 28, 2023):

Correct. However if the setting is set to not use Nitter links, the same should be true for links in the embed description.
